We never
dreamed of quitting the RV life while we were on the road full-time, especially
after creating our Shabby Beach Shack. This is truly my happy place. No matter
where I am, I feel as though I’m at the beach.
Even after moving
into a stick and brick, it doesn’t matter what my emotional state is at the
time, my spirits soar the moment I step into our little beach shack. It could
be the theme, it might be the colors or maybe the memories, but ask my husband,
I can’t help but smile when I’m in this place.
Amid our
current life circumstances, we’ve decided it’s time to sell it. Things have happened
that have shown us that sometimes we need to travel to places at a time when
traveling by RV is not the best option. Think of the major snowstorms in
Minnesota this past winter. This notion was nailed home to us by a family
member’s health crisis during the dreaded storms.
We purchased
a new vehicle that will allow us to go anywhere, at any time. It’s not comfy
like the RV, but much more comfortable than the car we traded in to get it. And
although we really don’t want to live in it if we have to bug out for a
hurricane, we may be able to camp in it for a bit.
We’ve
decided to sell our tow vehicle, a Honda Element with it. It’s my hope that
doing so will help someone out who has been displaced by Hurricane Michael and
can’t afford the truck needed to pull a fifth wheel. Not that a truck is needed
to park a fifth wheel on a property until a person is able to rebuild, but It’s
my hope the Shabby Beach Shack along with the car, will enable someone to
easily bug out in the event of a future major hurricane, and also have a nice
beach house to live in during this current wait time to rebuild the stick and
brick they recently lost.
Please pray
with us that the right person will see our Craigslist ad and be blessed the way
we have been blessed.
As always,
we love you guys!
-Trevor and
Roni
